Having 4 children in a three-bedroom house was making life interesting so we started thinking of remodeling. However the thought of hiring an architect, engineer, contractor, permits etc. was over whelming. We weren’t sure were to start.
We were referred to GRC builders by a neighbor in our development. The Neighbor said that GRC Builders had taken their project from a concept stage through completion, one stop shopping for Home Remodeling. GRC turned our sketches and listened carefully to our ideas and made several good suggestions for the project. GRC was very thorough and left nothing to chance. A soils sample was done, engineering completed, and all was approved by the Building Department.
They Skillfully guided the subcontractors through the project. They were very considerate of our living in the house during the remodel. Initially, I selected GRC Builders for a kitchen and basement remodeling project that morphed into a kitchen remodeling plus enhancements to the living room, family room and customized staircase rails designed to match similar custom railing used in the kitchen design. I would describe the proprietors, Lisa and Randy as down to earth and trustworthy. I felt comfortable doing business with them from our first meeting. Their demeanor and professionalism was important in dealing with a first time project buyer with lofty expectations. Lisa’s initial design created a foundation to other creative options and I think my ultimate satisfaction was partly due to the outcome being the result of a collaborative effort between us. I greatly appreciated Randy and Lisa working to meet a design change request or a satisfactory compromise. I welcome their structured approach to the project and their insurance that changes must be authorized – I requested many revisions to the original project plan. All of my concerns were dealt wit very expeditiously. Thinking back, the sub-contractors with whom I worked were pleasant to work with and represented much less of the project time that I had anticipated. The end result has been the subject of a number of compliments and the quality of the overall project – especially the customized items – speaks to G.R.C.’s attention to quality.

As time move on it often finds us with different needs than the ones we originally had when we move into our homes. This happened to be the case with us after living in our Littleton home for four years. Garry’s dad had passed away the previous year and we asked his mom, to move to Colorado from New Jersey to be closer to us. After looking at apartments for seniors we became depressed, not wanting her to live in any of these dismal places.
We then thought of expanding our home. After checking two other construction companies, we decided on working with GRC Builders. They were professional, in every way from the beginning of the project until the end. They have us a couple different ideas and we decided on finishing the “unused” part of our basement.
Lisa and Randy drew up plans making some changes here and there as our own needs became known, always willing to get it “just right”. The contract was then drawn up and signed with terms easy to understand and follow… The work was accomplished with the greatest care and professionalism… All the work was done in a timely manner and with the least amount of disturbance to the rest of our household. The workers were also careful not to leave the work area and other parts of the house a mess and were also aware of working around our very large dogs, so they would not get out of the gate.
With all the concern GRC Builders has given this project, from planning, choosing carpet and tile colors and styles, to the actual building and completion we would highly recommend GRC Builders to anyone looking for building contractors. Since a home is the largest investment that most people make, choosing the right builder is of utmost importance. Before we chose a builder for our home, we asked many people who had recently built a home how they liked their builder. Most of them were extremely displeased with their builder and the whole home building experience. They all said “I’d never do it again!” All. Except for those people chose GRC Builders. They were very happy wit their builder and the home building experience and would certainly build again, but only with GRC.
When I first walked into a GRC built home, the first thing that struck me was quality. GRC pays great attention to detail and make sure that not only are things done right, but the aesthetics are right too. Several things set GRC apart from others.
First, they make sure you know what you are signing for. They have their contract written to the last detail, with the precise price, down to the last penny (literally) before they start building. There are no surprise costs, nor any cost overrides with GRC as there are with so many other builders. I know of one family whose cost overruns were so high that they lost their home!
GRC gives your months of lead time on picking out your carpets, cabinets and the like. That is invaluable. Because you have had plenty of time to truly be satisfied with your choices. (In contrast, my sister, who built in another state with another builder was often given only 1 or 2 days lead time to pick out their carpets, cabinets etc…. The amount of stress and dissatisfaction that alone caused ruined their whole homebuilding experience.)
Thirdly, GRC Builders will often add in “freebie” work. Little extra that other builders would not do or for which they would charge you for. GRC goes way beyond what is expected. They are not satisfied until you are satisfied.
If your want quality construction, with a pleasant building experience and no hidden costs, GRC Builders is your company.

We hired GRC Builders about 9 months before the pandemic started. The job was completed in 8 months just as the pandemic started. I waited to this long to write a review to make sure there weren't any issues and there have been none.

We wanted to completely change the inside of our home. We added about 850 sq ft to the existing home. We added a mud room/laundry room, added a master bedroom and bathroom suite with walk in closet and a back patio. A monster project for us!

Living at the house while this was done was challenging for sure. They had told me that it was going to be rough. And it was. But at the end, it was worth it.

GRC was very proficient in all aspects of the job. From conceptual drawings, to construction documents, to actual construction, to the final result. Everything turned out fantastic! Every square inch of the new living space is being used everyday. We couldn't be happier with our "new" living space. I have no doubt that we chose the right contractor for the job.

After contacting many companies about finishing our unfinished basement, we selected GRC. Remodeling during the pandemic came with many twists and turns we didn't anticipate at the outset of our project, like labor shortages, vendor concerns and supply chain delays. But Randy and Lisa did a great job of laying out realities and expectations in advance, updating us throughout the process, and addressing issues if they arose. The GRC workers were very kind and came to be real favorites with our 3-year-old daughter. The basement turned out wonderfully, and when a weather-related issue arose several weeks after the project's end, GRC put us at the top of their priority list and send their team within hours of finding out. It is our family's pleasure to recommend GRC.

GRC Builders completed the remodel of our kitchen and family room during the height of the season of COVID. We used GRC for a room and patio addition that finished in September of 2019. They did an excellent job! I shopped around thoroughly before selecting GRC. I wanted a contractor that is true to their word and won't skimp on quality. They were not the cheapest bid, but in researching them and speaking with them I felt more comfortable trusting Randy and Lisa with the project. While we ran into a lot of delays, the lion's share of these were just mother nature. They are very thorough and careful - almost too careful - with your project! If you want quality and the work done right, these folks are the best value anywhere. They only use building-grade materials and all specs are at least to code; more often they exceed code. When working with any contractor, communication is the key. Randy and Lisa do a great job helping you plan your project - and even will help guide you on where to channel your budget to maximize what is important to you. Just make sure you communicate your desires clearly and they will help you make it happen! My project ended up being far better than I even imagined it!

They were always quick to respond and finished the work within the time frame we discussed. The subcontractors they use were great to work with- always friendly and respectful. It was a great experience for us and we will definitely be using them again for future home projects.

We hired GRC builders to renovate a main floor bathroom for our aging mother. The job was to enlarge and add a shower system that was ADA inclusive with raised toilet, wheelchair accessible , non slip flooring, grab bars , shower large enough for seat and hand held shower head. Mission accomplished with beautiful product features, bright lighting , courteous and professional contractors and room for our mother to now stay in her home while aging with confidence and pride. We used GRC Builders several times over the years and found them to be very professional and reliable. I waited over a year to write this recommendation because I wanted to make sure that my recommendation was valid. After about a year and a half I can say without question that the work that GRC builders does is of the highest standard and quality. They installed cabinets, counter tops, sinks and fixtures after a fairly robust demolition. All of the installations that they completed continue to function and look great. There were some issues with scheduling that I felt were frustrating, but when it was all said and done, I’m was glad I hired GRC builders.

We used GRC for a multi-room remodel (two bathrooms & a kitchen). As you can imagine such extensive renovations included extensive disruption; and we chose to live in the house during the job.
It's not like as easy as it looks on TV!!
But GRC Builders eased our way. They provided total project coordination and oversight. This required external services (including unexpected asbestos abatement & a new electrical panel) which were provided by experienced and licensed professionals.
Much of the fine detail interio finish that we enjoy living in today was crafted by GRC Builders personnel. It's a daily pleasure to walk through the rooms and enjoy our beautiful home.
I think, for me, the most important thing is that I trusted this company. It is family-owned and their business conduct displayed the same respect for my family that they have for their own. Disputes or questions (and there always are) were handled with compassion and quickly. I was never in the dark. Based on what I've hard from others, that in itself is remarkable.
Finally, cost. We agreed upon a budget before the project started. That budget was modified only as necessary and with my written agreement. I received invoices throughout and a final summary that accounted for every penny spent.
Would I use GRC Builders again? Absolutely.
